About
About me & the project Interactive Simulation Atlas.
👋 Hi, I'm Khoa Bug
A Fintech Software Engineer, passionate about AI and always curious about the fascinating things in life.
Actually, Atlas began for a very personal reason. I have a curious little daughter — "Daddy, why are there stars at night? Why are leaves green? What's inside my tummy?". Some I could answer, some I could only mumble through. I wanted to let her see it for herself instead of just telling her — so I set out to build each of these simulation rooms, so the two of us could touch, rotate and click, traveling from the vast cosmos to the tiny nucleus.
Then I realized that not only my daughter but many people still hold on to that same curiosity. So Atlas was born for everyone to explore.
Any feedback, a connection, or a supporting cup of coffee can all be found on the home page. Thanks for stopping by! ☕
🔭 What is this project?
The Interactive Simulation Atlas is a “virtual lab” running right in your browser. The first seven fields follow one seamless zoom axis from the vast cosmos → the atomic nucleus; the last five fields go beyond the spatial axis — opening onto the axes of time, mind & machine, mathematics, complex systems and the limits of knowledge. In total, 12 fields with 243 topics:
Every simulation prioritizes scientific accuracy within the limits of an educational model, while staying visual and easy to grasp. Frontiers of knowledge in particular honestly presents what science has not yet answered — laying out evidence and hypotheses, without asserting answers.
🎮 Games · 🧰 Tools · 🔮 Tarot & Horoscope · 🌾 Vietnam
Beyond the science atlas, my-lab keeps four more sections to explore:
🎮 68 Games — relaxing canvas toys, board games against the AI, logic puzzles and Vietnamese folk games, sorted into six shelves — from a virtual aquarium to Chess, Xiangqi and Sudoku.
🧰 87 Tools — small helpers that run right in the browser, in eight groups: health, finance & protocols, coding & data, time & the Vietnamese lunar calendar, color & design, math, science, and everyday utilities.
🔮 Tarot & Horoscope — a cultural-symbolism corner for knowing yourself: Pythagorean numerology, the zodiac with real astronomical Moon signs, the Vietnamese sexagenary cycle and Four Pillars, a full 78-card Tarot, the I Ching, feng-shui rooms and personality tests — plus a personal map that gathers every system on one page.
🌾 Vietnam — homeland & identity built on official sources: the new 34-province map with Hoàng Sa & Trường Sa, plus history, culture and nature of the country — capped by a grand trivia quiz across the whole section.
📚 Scientific sources
The data & formulas in each room draw on reputable sources:
- 🌌 Space: NASA, the JPL Small-Body Database (comet orbits), the Event Horizon Telescope (black holes), standard astronomical constants.
- 🌍 Earth: USGS (seismology), NOAA (ocean currents & atmosphere), the PREM model of Earth's structure.
- 🌿 Living World: general biology; the Lotka–Volterra population model (predator–prey).
- 🧬 Human Body: anatomical atlases & general physiology references.
- 🦠 Cell & Genetics: NCBI — the standard genetic code table (64 codons).
- ⚛️ Matter & Atom: IUPAC & the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (electronegativity, radii, ionization energy); the Bohr atomic model.
- ⚛️ Particles & Quantum: the Standard Model (Particle Data Group); decay / half-life data; general quantum mechanics.
- 🧠 Mind & Machine: foundational computer science (Boolean algebra, von Neumann architecture, Big-O complexity); basic neural networks & machine learning.
- 🕰️ Timeline of Everything: cosmic chronology (Planck/NASA), the geologic time scale (ICS), evolutionary milestones & the 5 mass extinctions.
- 📐 Mathematics & Geometry: mathematical constants (φ, π), the Mandelbrot/Julia sets, the Sieve of Eratosthenes & the Ulam spiral, the central limit theorem (Galton board).
- 🌀 Complex Systems: the Boids model (Reynolds), the double pendulum & the Lorenz attractor, the Game of Life (Conway), the SIR epidemic model, the spatial prisoner's dilemma (Nowak–May), Lindenmayer systems.
- 🔭 Frontiers of Knowledge: open questions still under debate — presenting evidence & competing hypotheses, not asserting conclusions.
