Shade cells so that no number repeats among the white cells of any row or column, shaded cells never touch orthogonally, and all white cells stay connected in one block. Generated puzzles always have a unique solution.
How to play — Hitori
Shade (black out) some cells so that no number appears twice among the WHITE cells of any row or column.
Two rules bind the shading: black cells never touch side-by-side, and all white cells must stay connected in one block.
Tap once = shade · again = ○ “surely white” note · again = clear. Tip: in a pattern X-Y-X (same number with one cell between), the middle cell must be WHITE; a pair X X side-by-side blackens every other X in that line.
Tap cycles: white → shaded → ○ (confirmed white) → white. Adjacent shaded cells glow red; duplicated white numbers stay amber until resolved. Circles are your own notes for “definitely keep”.
